Now and Next Lite

Privacy policy

Updated 21 October 2026. This policy describes Now and Next Lite 1.14 onwards, operated by Peter Stanley. Lite is free to use with no adverts. An optional one-off purchase unlocks additional capacity and backup; it is not needed to remove adverts.

No account or sign-in is needed. That does not mean no data is processed: purchases use Apple and RevenueCat, and visiting this website or contacting support involves the services described below. The separate paid app has its own privacy policy.

Your photos, activities and cards

Content you create is stored in the app on your device. Lite does not upload your photos, cards or schedules to us or RevenueCat. Your device’s backups may include app data, depending on your Apple backup settings. If you unlock backup and export a file, it contains your app content and goes to the location or service you choose, such as Files or cloud storage. Those services have their own privacy terms. Take care when sharing a backup containing a child’s photos or information.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Lite connects to RevenueCat to check which features are unlocked, offer the upgrade and restore purchases. RevenueCat is initialised when Lite starts, including for free users. It uses a randomly generated app-user identifier, rather than an account you create with us, together with purchase history and transaction or receipt information. It also receives technical information needed for these requests, such as app/SDK version and locale; connecting to its servers exposes your IP address.

RevenueCat validates purchases, manages access to unlocked features and supports restoring them. Purchase history is also processed for sales reporting and analytics in RevenueCat’s dashboard. An anonymous identifier can still distinguish an installation; it does not make this processing “no data collection”. Lite does not ask you for a name or email address to send to RevenueCat.

Apple processes payment through the App Store; we and RevenueCat do not receive your payment-card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy information, its app data-processing guidance and Apple’s privacy policy.

Adverts and older versions

Lite 1.14 onwards contains no Google AdMob or advertising-consent SDK and does not ask for advertising tracking permission. No purchase is needed for this change.

Older ad-supported releases used Google AdMob. They may still process advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions and technical data until you update. Updating does not erase information already held by providers. For those releases, review Google’s privacy policy and the advertising/privacy choices available in that version and your device’s tracking settings. If you need help with an older release or withdrawing a previous choice, contact us.

Support and family use

For support or privacy requests, email via the app. We receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach so we can respond. Please send only what is needed; do not include children’s photos, sensitive details or a full backup unless necessary. Parents and carers should manage purchases, exports and support requests.

This website

The website has no advertising or visitor-analytics scripts. Hosting and security services process connection information, including IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the pages. Cloudflare provides security and may set its __cf_bm bot-protection cookie. Cloudflare says this expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. See Cloudflare’s cookie information and privacy policy. Your browser lets you clear or block cookies, although blocking security cookies can affect access.

Following App Store or other external links takes you to services with their own privacy terms.

Retention and your choices

You can remove content in the app and delete exported backups from wherever you saved them. Device or cloud backups are managed separately through the relevant service. Deleting Lite does not automatically delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat.

Support information is used to handle your request and related follow-up. Purchase records may need to be retained to restore access, prevent fraud or meet legal requirements. Provider retention and international processing depend on their services; RevenueCat, Apple and Cloudflare may process information outside the UK or EEA. Their linked privacy information explains their arrangements. Contact us about the records associated with your use of Lite; there is no single deletion period covering all these services.

Depending on applicable law, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict processing or object to it, and request portability where it applies. Contact us using the email above so we can help identify the relevant records and provider. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local data-protection authority.

Policy updates

Changes will be posted here with an updated date. The older-version advertising note remains relevant to people who have not updated to Lite 1.14.
